Hi, I’m Armando, but everyone calls me Mando. I was born in Laredo, TX, but shortly after, my family moved to our hometown in Nuevo León, Mexico. At five years old, we relocated to San Antonio, TX, where I grew up on the South Side. Like many Mexican and Hispanic families, we faced our share of struggles. My mom worked multiple jobs, and my dad spent long hours in construction to provide for us.

Now, as the Director of Outreach for Puro Tepache, I’m passionate about giving back to the community that shaped me. I want to support those in need, especially the younger generation, by planting seeds of hope and empowerment so they can continue uplifting our community in the future.

My two beautiful children are my greatest motivation. Through Puro Tepache, I’m not only working to create a brighter future for my family but also to build something meaningful for the Puro Tepache family and the community we serve.
